“Bathory” perfume was inspired by a legendary "Bloody Countess" (Erzsébet Bathory) who lived in 1560-1614. It is said that she was taking baths of blood drained from young virgin girls, whom she tortured first, to preserve her beauty and youth. However, after so many centuries, we still don’t know if that was actually true or if she was only framed by the crown and the church with the aim to take away her power and territories.
This perfume reflects Erzsébet's nature in the author's interpretation. As one of the most beautiful women of her time, Erzsébet charmed men by an unspoken beauty and a deep mind. That is the first impression of this perfume too: the top notes at first will take you to a blossoming Orange garden, with Bergamot and Clary Sage. Then, with time, the scent gets deeper, uncovering its sweet heart notes of Rose and Ylang-Ylang. And, finally, the scent is taken over by Vetiver and Sandalwood.
“Bathory” perfume isn't as easy and simple as it might seem at first, hiding its dark secrets deep inside. 🥀
